Massage FAQ

How do i choose the best massage suited for me?

Once I assess you at your consultation I can suggest the best massage or combine techniques to suit.

What massage techniques do you offer?

I offer Aromatherapy, Hot Stone, Deep Tissue, Ayurvedic, Stretch, Lymphatic Drainage and Pain Management.

How can a massage help?

A massage has many benefits including the relaxation benefits, reduction of toxins, relief of muscular restrictions, tightness and spasms.  Also the increase and improvement in flexibility, reduction of stress, pain and tension and a a general feeling of well-being.

What if I get an erection?

This is a concern for a lot of men, if this happens do not stress and worry as it is not uncommon, it happens to many.  This is just your body's natural reaction to the sensation.

Do you offer happy endings?

NO!    No sexual services are available

Do you massage the butt or groin area?

There are benefits to massaging you butt/glutes such as releasing pressure from the sciatic nerve.  Benefits to massaging groin and pelvic area are tension reduction, recovery from a pull or tear.  You can opt in or out of your buttocks or groin area being massaged, if you are uncomfortable with this area being touched these areas can be left alone.    

What about confidentiality?

Rest assure your details and treatments are not discussed with anyone.

How often should i have a massage?

This can be discussed with you to determine best frequency for you, but on average some clients have treatments weekly some monthly as a way to help with stress relief or regular gym or sports training.

Can i be naked during my massage?

Yes undraped massages are optional and ok by me, so you can, make yourself comfortable.

After massage ?

You should feel relaxed but may feel light headed and thirsty.  Take a few minutes to relax, you will be offered some water to help flush the toxins that have been released.

Waxing FAQ

Does waxing hurt?

I wont say no, as everyone has a different pain threshold so we all feel pain differently.  Your first time will be the toughest but you will get used to it.

Do i have to get naked?

Well yes, you will need to expose the areas you want waxed.  I will ensure you are as comfortable as possible.

What if i get an erection?

This is a concern for many men, but if it happens don't stress it is not uncommon. It has nothing to do with sex or genuine arousal but the situation.  I will carry on with treatment and it usuall passes, so no need for feeling embarrassed. (I will not however be comfortable with any crude comments or suggestions, treatment will end with no refund given.)

What are the side effects?

It is normal to be red in areas afterwax treatment, but this will pass.  You will feel tender or sensitive after and some can gain a hive like rash temporary for a few days.  Whatever effects arise it will pass usually within 48hrs, please follow the after wax care instruction i give you.

How often should i wax?

A timescale of 4-5 weeks is common but you judge best time suited for you depending on your hair cycle

Facial & Skincare FAQ 

What is a facial?

A facial is non invasive skin treatment where skin is cleansed, exfoliated and moisturised.

Do men have facials?

Yes, of course, 

Is a facial good for my skin?

Yes a facial is good for all skin types and can help and treat many skin concerns when tailored to your needs.

Can i have a facial with a beard?

Yes, not a problem at all.  you can opt to have a beard treatment to care for your beard also.

How do I know what facial to choose when booking?

I always advise you select a Glow Exfoliating Facial, with this facial i can deep cleanse, exfoliate, remove blackheads and assess your skin to advise if any of my more advanced skin treatments would be benefical to you and any skin concerns you may have.

Other FAQ

Can i create my own Spa package?

Yes you can add, remove or change treatments in packages listed or create your own.

I want to book in straight after work but may need to shower, can i use shower at salon?

Yes just let me know prior to allocate suitable time for this.  (no charge for shower use)

Is it ok to wait in salon if i come early to my appointment?

Yes, but please try not to come too early, as i do all appointments on a 121 basis and so if i have a client in for a spa package or massage i wont stop mid treatment to let you in.  I am sorry.
